Murray, Konta learn draws in Brisbane

Andy Murray has been given a match against either Ryan Harrison or Leonardo Mayer in his opening contest at the Brisbane International.

After coming through an exhibition clash in Abu Dhabi, Murray is expected to play his first competitive match since Wimbledon as the Scot looks to build his fitness ahead of the Australian Open.

As second seed, the 30-year-old receives a bye in the first round, with American Harrison or Argentine Mayer coming up in the last 16.

British number two Kyle Edmund faces another meeting with Denis Shapovalov, having played the Canadian youngster three times during 2017.

In the women's draw, Johanna Konta has been provided with a tough encounter against Madison Keys, while Heather Watson is through to the final qualifying round after winning two matches earlier this week.
