Andy Murray says that he didn't feel 100% in his semi-final defeat at Japan Open.

Andy Murray has said that he didn't feel 100% today, after he lost his Japan Open semi-final against Milos Raonic.

The US Open champion was beaten 6-3, 6-7, 7-6 in his first tournament since winning his first Grand Slam.

The British number one told The Independent: "I didn't feel like I was necessarily there 100% today, but I fought right through to the end, even though I didn't necessarily play amazing tennis, and managed to get myself in a winning position.

"I want to make sure that each week and at each tournament between now and the end of the year I try to finish strong and not let the momentum drop off."

Raonic will play Kei Nishikori in the final.
