Andy Murray books Japan Open final with Rafael Nadal

Andy Murray is through to the final of the Japan Open after a straight-sets victory over Spaniard David Ferrer.

Andy Murray has set up a Japan Open final with Rafael Nadal after easing past David Ferrer in the last four.

The British number one beat Nadal's Spanish compatriot 6-2 6-3 to continue his excellent form after winning the Thailand Open last week.

Murray broke Ferrer twice to take the first set before holding serve impressively in the second, breaking once more to wrap up victory in under 90 minutes.

Top seed Nadal was also victorious in straight sets, defeating American Mardy Fish 7-5 6-1.

Nadal has twice knocked Murray out of Grand Slams this year, firstly at Wimbledon and then more recently at the US Open in August.
