Milos Raonic handed ATP award

Canada's Milos Raonic has been named the ATP's Newcomer of the Year for 2011 as part of the Tour's annual awards.

The award, which is voted for by fellow players, is given to the player who has made the biggest impact on the ATP World Tour throughout the calender year.

Raonic, 20, began 2011 ranked as the world number 156 and went on to finish at a career-high ranking of 25.

He beat off competition from fellow youngsters Matthew Ebden, Ryan Harrison and Bernard Tomic to claim the honour.
