Amelie Mauresmo 'confused' by Andy Murray's on-court behaviour

Amelie Mauresmo suggests that she had an issue with Andy Murray's on-court behaviour during the pair's coaching partnership.

Amelie Mauresmo has admitted that she was 'confused' by Andy Murray's on-court behaviour during her time as the Scotsman's coach.

It was announced in May that the pair had ended their partnership following almost two years working together.

It was claimed that the recent birth of Mauresmo's son was a factor in the split, but the 36-year-old has now suggested that she had problems with Murray's on-court frustration towards his camp during matches.

"Andy is complex," Mauresmo told L'Equipe. "On the court, he can be the opposite of what he is in life. It can be confusing. I was there to help. I had the feeling I could not get things done.

"I had the impression we got to the end of what could be done professionally. It was concluded that it would be difficult to continue.

"I just reduced my number of weeks of attendance since the last Australian Open and we actually spent little time together. It turns out that it was a difficult time for him, I could not help him. But this decision [to end the collaboration] was initiated some time ago."

Murray won the Madrid Masters and Munich Open - his first ever clay-court titles - during his time with Mauresmo.
