Li Na to play Eastbourne

Li Na has confirmed that she will play this summer's Aegon International in Eastbourne ahead of Wimbledon.

The 31-year-old former French Open champion has won one WTA title so far this year in Shenzhen.

"I am delighted to be heading back to the Aegon International after having such a good time when I was last in Eastbourne in 2011," the Chinese world number six told the tournament's official website.

"It is great preparation for Wimbledon as the grass courts are immaculate, and the fans there are so knowledgeable about tennis."

The Aegon International gets underway on June 15.
