Laura Robson delays injury comeback

Former British number one tennis player Laura Robson delays her comeback from a long-term wrist injury.

Former British number one Laura Robson has delayed her comeback from long-term injury after rejecting a wildcard place at the Aegon Championships in Birmingham.

Robson last played in the 2014 Australian Open and had wrist surgery 14 months ago, and will now aim for a return at the Aegon International at Eastbourne on June 21.

She no longer holds a world ranking but is likely to be offered a wildcard entry to Wimbledon this summer.

The 21-year-old reached her highest ranking of 27 in July 2013, but has struggled with injuries since then.
