Great Britain's Fed Cup captain Judy Murray has described Elena Baltacha as a "great role model".
The 30-year-old announced her retirement earlier today, having turned professional back in 1997.
"Elena Baltacha. Superstar on and off the court. Great pro. Great role model. Great girl. Missing u already," Murray wrote on the social networking site Twitter.
Ipswich-born Baltacha won 11 ITF titles during her career.
