Jamie Murray insists Andy Murray not marred by back injury

Jamie Murray calms brother's injury fears

Jamie Murray has attempted to calm fears over his brother Andy's fitness, despite the British world number one dealing with an ongoing back problem.

The world number four crashed out of Queen's in the second round of the tournament and was forced to withdraw from competing in doubles with his brother due to the back injury.

"I don't think his back's really giving him too much problems," said Murray. "Stuff that happened at the French Open, that was something different to what he hurt before.

"I think he's made it quite clear that his back has been fine. I think he just was kind of told by the doctor that, 'you had your injections and now you probably need to have a time where you need to rest a little bit'."

Meanwhile, seven-time French Open winner Rafael Nadal has come to the defence of Murray following suggestions that the Scotsman is faking his injury.
