Ana Ivanovic eyeing return to world number one ranking

Ana Ivanovic says that she is aiming to return to the world number one spot next season after finishing fifth in the rankings in 2014.

Ana Ivanovic has set her sights on returning to the world number one ranking next season.

The Serbian professional clinched the top spot back in 2008 when she won the French Open, but Serena Williams currently occupies the position.

The 27-year-old, who has reached two quarter-finals in Grand Slams since her Roland Garros win, ended the 2014 season as world number five.

"I really feel I have the game to be at the top," Ivanovic told The Sports Review. "I was number one before and I want to give myself the best chance to get back there. So I'm really working hard to get back, and of course to win another Grand Slam is my dream."

Ivanovic's French Open win is the only Grand Slam title she has claimed in her career so far.
