Roger Federer to skip Miami Masters?

Former world number one Roger Federer will reportedly sit out the Miami Masters for the first time in his career next year.

The Swiss player had been a regular fixture at the tournament up until his defeat to Andy Roddick in March of this year.

However, he recently indicated that he was going to cut his schedule slightly in 2013 to ensure that he kept himself fresh.

Federer has won the tournament on two occasions.
