Andre Agassi: 'Andy Murray would have won majors in another era'

Andre Agassi insists that Andy Murray is good enough to win a Grand Slam at some point during his career.

Eight-time Grand Slam winner Andre Agassi believes that Andy Murray would have won a major tournament had he been playing in a different era.

British number one Murray has seen the Grand Slams dominated by Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer during his career but Agassi insists that Murray can break into that group soon.

The American told BBC Sport: "In any other generation he would have multiple Slams and if he was in my generation I would have a lot less.

"I believe there is so much more he can accomplish in this game.

"The top three have definitely established themselves as a cut above, but I do believe [Murray] has the ability to do it."

Murray will be bidding to win his maiden Grand Slam victory at Wimbledon beginning next week.
