Rafael Nadal savours his Monte Carlo Masters final win over world number one Novak Djokovic.

Rafael Nadal was thrilled after his Monte Carlo Masters win over Novak Djokovic as a straight-sets victory saw him clinch his eighth consecutive title at the tournament.

The world number two saw off the Serbian in under an hour to seal the 6-3 6-1 triumph.

"I always loved this tournament since I was a kid. One of my dreams was [to] play here," said Nadal. "It's a historic tournament [where] you see all your idols when you are a kid playing here.

"If you see the finals I win here, all the finals are against probably top-six players. That's something that makes the victories even more difficult."

The win was a record-breaking 20th Masters title for Nadal.
