American Jared Donaldson shouts in face of umpire at Monte Carlo Masters

American Jared Donaldson faces the possibility of disciplinary action after shouting in the face of an umpire during his first-round match at the Monte Carlo Masters.

Jared Donaldson has shouted in the face of an umpire during his first-round match at the Monte Carlo Masters.

The American called umpire Arnaut Gabas onto court to dispute whether Albert Ramos-Vinolas's serve had caught the line, and the umpire was unable to reverse the decision due to being unable to see a ball mark.

Donaldson - the world number 51 - reacted by shouting in Gabas's face before demanding that the supervisor be called, which led to Gabas stating that he was unhappy with Donaldson's 'aggressiveness' and a second outburst followed.

Hawkeye - which was not in operation - suggested that Donaldson was correct, but the 21-year-old faces the possibility of disciplinary action from the ATP Tour.

The incident occurred with Donaldson a set and a break down, and Ramos-Vinolas went on to seal a 6-3 6-3 win.
