Venus Williams reveals her excitement about going to the Olympics for the fourth time in her career as part of the USA team.

Venus Williams has expressed her excitement at representing the USA for a fourth time in her career at this summer's Olympic Games.

The 32-year-old, who has a gold medal in singles from 2000 and two golds in doubles from 2000 and 2008, only just crept into the world top 60 to confirm her selection.

"I did meet my goal this year to qualify for the Olympics," she told NBC. "That was easier said than done, and I only had a few months to do it. It was a mad race. It was crazy and exciting, and I am just so happy it happened. Every day I wake up and say, 'I am going to the Olympics. Yes!'"

Williams, who was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Sjogren's Syndrome last year, is expected to compete in the singles as well as the doubles with sister Serena.
