Grigor Dimitrov wins final-set tie-break against Nick Kyrgios at Indian Wells

Dimitrov beats Kyrgios in Indian Wells thriller

Grigor Dimitrov won a dramatic BNP Paribas Open second-round match against Nick Kyrgios 6-7 6-3 6-7.

Both players held serve throughout the first set, with no break-point chances for either player. Dimitrov ran away with the tie-break though, winning 7-2 to take the opener.

Kyrgios forced a decided set when he took advantage of a rare break point in the eighth game of the second set, eventually going on to win it 6-3.

The Australian gave himself the chance to serve for the match, breaking in game nine of the third set to lead 5-4, but Dimitrov broke straight back to level the score.

The match was decided by a tie-break, which Dimitrov eventually won 7-4.

The 11th seed will play Tommy Robredo or Andrey Golubev in the third round.
