Andy Murray: 'Room for improvement after Kohlschreiber victory'

Andy Murray says that he "can serve better" following his three-sets victory over Philipp Kohlschreiber at Indian Wells.

Andy Murray has said that there is room for improvement following his BNP Paribas Open third-round victory over Philipp Kolschreiber at Indian Wells.

Murray needed three sets to defeat the German in a 6-1 3-6 6-1 win.

"In the first set I was dictating the rallies, the ball was bouncing high and I was pushing him away," Murray told Sky Sports News.

"In the second set there was a break point at 3-3, it gave him confidence, but in the third set I started dictating points again and getting good height on the ball.

"I feel I can serve better, serve smarter than I did today. Philipp's not one of the taller players so when I can get it to bounce high it makes it tough for him on the return."

Murray will play Adrian Mannarino in the fourth round after the Frenchman beat Ernests Gulbis 6-4 6-4.
