Svetlana Kuznetsova moves into fifth round

Svetlana Kuznetsova has booked her spot in the fifth round of the French Open courtesy of a 6-4 4-6 6-3 victory over Angelique Kerber on Sunday.

The opening set remained on serve until 3-3, before Kerber broke to move 4-3 ahead. However, two successive breaks of serve from Kuzentsova allowed the Russian to move into a one-set lead.

Both were broken in the early stages of the second, but it was Kerber who secured a decisive break at 3-3, allowing the German to level the contest.

Three breaks of serve arrived in the early stages of the third and final set, with Kuznetsova moving 4-1 ahead, before booking her spot in the next round courtesy of a 6-3 score.
