Ferrer moves past Anderson

David Ferrer has booked his spot in the fifth round of the French Open courtesy of a 6-3 6-1 6-1 victory over Kevin Anderson on Sunday.

The Spaniard took control in the early stages of the first set, breaking Anderson's opening service game before taking a 3-0 lead. The set remained on serve from that point, with Ferrer eventually claiming it.

Anderson continued to struggle in the second, with Ferrer's forehand so often winning points on the baseline. The Spaniard quickly moved into a 4-0 lead in the second, eventually moving two sets ahead courtesy of a 6-1 score.

It was a similar story in the third - and what proved to be the final set - with Ferrer breaking in the early stages before serving for the match in just under two hours.
