Roger Federer dominates Lukas Lacko at French Open

Federer dominates Lacko at French Open

Former world number one Roger Federer booked his place in round two of the French Open thanks to a 6-2 6-4 6-2 victory over Lukas Lacko this afternoon.

The first set proved to be a straightforward one for the Swiss player as he broke on two occasions to wrap it up in just 25 minutes.

Lacko provided more resistance during the second set, but a break from Federer in the third game proved to be a decisive one as he went on to open up a two-set winning margin.

Now in the ascendancy, the current world number four made quick work of the third set, coming out on top courtesy of two breaks of his Slovakian opponent's serve to end the match in a little under one hour and 30 minutes.

Federer, who has only won the title once at Roland Garros, will now take on either Diego Sebastian Schwartzman or Gastao Elias for a place in the third round.
