Djokovic powers past Federer into French final

Novak Djokovic will face Rafael Nadal in the French Open final after he defeated Roger Federer in straight sets at Roland Garros.

Despite being the first player to drop serve in the opening set, the world number one fought back to take it 6-4.

Federer looked on course to level the match when he was serving at 5-4 in the second, but Djokovic found the inspiration to claim the set 7-5.

The Serbian was again put under pressure in the third and managed to find the decisive break for a 6-3 triumph.

He will now play defending champion Nadal in Sunday's final after the Spaniard beat fellow countryman David Ferrer in straight sets.
