Kevin Anderson has booked his place in the fourth round of the French Open with a straight-sets victory over Milos Raonic.

In a closely-fought first set, both players held their serves well in the opening 10 games. In the next game though, Anderson saved five game points before clinching it with his first break point.

The world number 25 failed to drop a point as he served out the set.

The second set was equally close, with both players missing the opportunity to break early on. After several holds of serve the set entered a tie-break, which Anderson claimed 7-4.

Anderson looked to be in trouble early on in the third set when Raonic broke in the third game, but he responded by breaking twice to establish a two-game lead before closing out the set on his serve.

Anderson will face Spanish player David Ferrer in the fourth round.
