Stanislas Wawrinka: 'Novak Djokovic will win French Open in the future'

French Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka believes that world number one Novak Djokovic will win the Roland Garros event in the future.

Stanislas Wawrinka has backed Novak Djokovic to complete the career Grand Slam with victory at the French Open in the future.

The Swiss player beat the world number one in four sets at the Roland Garros tournament at the weekend, securing his second Grand Slam title.

"I'm sure he's going to get it one one day because he's so strong. I know he's looking badly and desperately for this title. The way he was playing these two weeks was just amazing," BBC Sport quotes the 30-year-old as saying.

Wawrinka's win moves him up from ninth to fourth in the world rankings.
