Laura Robson forced to pull out of French Open

Laura Robson pulls out of the French Open as she continues to struggle in her bid to return from a wrist injury.

Laura Robson has confirmed that she will not be competing at the French Open as she continues her recovery from a long-standing wrist problem.

The former British number one was forced to undergo surgery on her wrist 13 months ago, and she has delayed her comeback on a number of occasions already this year.

Her protected ranking ensured that she had a place at the second Grand Slam of the year, but the 21-year-old is now unlikely to play before the summer's grass court season.

Robson, who reached a career-high ranking of 27 in July 2013, has not played competitively since the 2014 Australian Open.
