Novak Djokovic targets French Open

Novak Djokovic says that he is targeting the French Open title after successfully defending the Australian Open.

World number one Novak Djokovic has said that he is targeting the French Open, following his win at the Australian Open last week.

Djokovic successfully defended his title in Melbourne, beating Rafael Nadal in an epic, near six-hour battle.

With the Wimbledon and US Open titles already under his belt, the 24-year-old is now setting his sights on securing the French Open.

"I am prioritising the Grand Slams this year, as every year," he said.

"That doesn't mean I'm not going to prepare well and perform my best at the other tournaments but it's the Grand Slams that matter the most.

"So I want to do well and get to my first final at least in Paris. I have never been to the final there and I have a feeling that I am ready this year to achieve that."

Djokovic is only the fifth man in history to claim three successive Grand Slam titles.
