Victoria Azarenka: I need a rest

World number one Victoria Azarenka has claimed that she needs a rest following her shock defeat to Dominika Cibulkova in the fourth round of the French Open on Sunday.

The Australian Open winner, who smashed two rackets on court in frustration, was beaten in straight sets by a player ranked 15 places below her.

"What went wrong? Pretty much everything, really," she told reporters.

"It's been a lot of tennis for me in the last five months. I need to rest a little."

Cibulkova's prize for beating Azarenka is a quarter-final tie against Samantha Stosur after the Australian defeated American teenager Sloane Stephens.
