Andy Murray's Davis Cup match to continue tomorrow

Great Britain's Andy Murray will have to finish his Davis Cup singles match against Italy's Andreas Seppi tomorrow after bad light stopped play in Naples.

Andy Murray's Davis Cup match against Andreas Seppi has been stopped by bad light on the rain-affected opening day of Great Britain's quarter-final tie against Italy.

The world number eight led 6-4 5-5 when the fading light forced the players off the court in Naples, after heavy rain had forced a two-hour delay earlier on.

The Wimbledon champion, who has been struggling with a stomach virus, faced a set point in the second as Seppi tried to level the match, but Murray held on before the covers were brought on, forcing the pair to complete their meeting tomorrow.

Britain trail 1-0 after James Ward was beaten by Fabio Fognini earlier in the day.
