Caroline Wozniacki cruises into third round in Cincinnati

Caroline Wozniacki has reached the third round of the Western & Southern Open with a comfortable 6-4 6-3 win over Monica Niculescu.

The former world number one went into the match having defeated the Romanian in all three of their previous meetings.

The gulf in class was apparent as Wozniacki's serve showed no sign of faltering, and Niculescu offered little resistance after dropping the first set.

Danish 10th seed Wozniacki will take on the Czech Republic's Petra Kvitova in the next round.
