Maria Sharapova wins Cincinnati Open crown

Maria Sharapova has won the Cincinnati Open after defeating Jelena Jankovic in three sets.

Jankovic got off to the better start, breaking the Sharapova serve twice to take the first set 6-4.

The second set was littered with service breaks and went to a tie break, which Sharapova won 7-3.

A cagey third set swung the Russian's way when Jankovic double-faulted at 4-3, allowing her opponent to serve out the match.
