Tomas Berdych defeats Tommy Robredo to set up a quarter-final clash with Andy Murray at the Cincinnati Open.

Tomas Berdych has beaten Tommy Robredo in straight sets to book a quarter-final meeting with Andy Murray at the Cincinnati Open.

The Czech breezed past the Spaniard in just an hour, although he continued to struggle for consistency with his first serve - averaging just 50% throughout the 15 games.

It was still a straightforward win for Berdych, who saved three break points in the opening set and took the one he was able to create to clinch it 6-3.

He then completed victory with a 6-0 whitewash in the second set.
