Fire alarm forces Murray out of shower

Andy Murray says he had to evacuate the shower after a fire alarm delayed the start of his quarter-final win at the Cincinnati Open.

Play was postponed by 25 minutes after the alarm went off in the players' area, before the Scot's victory over Gilles Simon in straight sets.

"I was in the shower, so I had to get out quickly and get all my stuff on and get out of there," Murray said. "It wasn't me who burned anything."

The world number four takes on Mardy Fish in the semi-finals after the American defeated a lacklustre Rafael Nadal in straight sets.
