World number two Maria Sharapova survived a scare on her way to reaching the third round of the Australian Open earlier today.
The 27-year-old saved two match points against her fellow Russian Alexandra Panova, before going on to record a 6-1 4-6 7-5 win on the Rod Laver Arena.
