Vera Zvonareva into round three in Melbourne

Vera Zvonareva has booked her place in round three of the Australian Open with a stright-sets victory over Lucie Hradecka.

Zvonareva made easy work of her opponent in the first set as she claimed it 6-1.

Hradecka fought back in the second with some powerful forehands as she took it to a tie-break.

However, the Russian proved to be the more clinical when it mattered as she won 7-3.
