Tommy Robredo sets up third-round Richard Gasquet clash at the Australian Open

Tommy Robredo booked a mouth-watering clash with Richard Gasquest in the third round of the Australian Open on Wednesday.

The Spaniard advanced from the second stage of the competition at Melbourne Park after overcoming Julian Benneteau 6-3 6-7 6-1 7-6 on Show Court Two.

Robredo looked comfortable after winning the first set, thanks to a combination of his powerful serve and 18 unforced errors from the Frenchman, before Benneteau levelled up the match with a 7-4 win at a tie break.

However, Robredo eased back ahead in the third set before coming out on top in a spectacular final set, that results in a third-round meeting with Benneteau's compatriot Gasquet.
