Agnieszka Radwanska delighted with 44-minute triumph

Agnieszka Radwanska admits that her 44-minute victory over Johanna Larsson could be key as she looks to conserve energy at the Australian Open.

Agnieszka Radwanska has claimed that beating Johanna Larsson quickly in the second round could prove to be crucial at the Australian Open.

The sixth seed needed just 44 minutes to record victory over her Swedish opponent on Thursday, and the 2014 semi-finalist admits that it is a boost to stay fresh after losing just four games across her first two matches.

"I think being fresh is one of the most important things, so I'm really happy that I played short and good, and I really closed that match pretty quickly. Especially that the conditions can be very tough. So I think it's much better than playing and being there for like three hours," Radwanska told reporters.

"I'm just very happy that I have two quick matches. I'm really ready and fresh for the next ones."

Radwanska will play 30th seed Varvara Lepchenko in the third round.
