Roger Federer reveals that he is relishing the prospect of facing Rafael Nadal in the Australian Open semi-finals.

Roger Federer has claimed that he is happy to be facing Rafael Nadal in the Australian Open semi-final.

The pair rarely meet in Grand Slam semi-finals due to being on opposite sides of the draw but Federer admits that he is excited for the challenge.

Federer said: "It's another great match with Rafa potentially. I'm pleased I am playing him because of our epic match here a few years ago.

"I'd like a chance to play him again here. We haven't met in the semis of a Slam since the French Open in 2005."

Federer faces Nadal after defeating Juan Martin Del Potro in the quarter-final.
