Day three at the Australian Open saw success for the reigning men's champion, as Novak Djokovic cruised into the third round of the tournament.

There was also victory for Britain's Heather Watson, who fought back from a set down to book her place in round three.

The biggest upset of the day was in the women's draw, where ninth seed Sam Stosur was beaten in three sets by Zheng Jie of China.

Venus Williams, Agnieszka Radwanska, Tomas Berdych and David Ferrer were among the other top seeds to make it through.

10.44amA fantastic cross-court backhand beats Harrison to give Djokovic the set. The American was able to compete more in the second set than the first, but was still well beaten by the world number one, who still has plenty more in reserve should Harrison find more.

She's been speaking to BBC 5 Live: "I do make it hard for myself but a win's a win, no matter how you do it. "It was a very tough one today. I wasn't sure whether I was going to get through it but I did, I kept fighting, the crowd was amazing and kept pushing me on from start to finish, and I've put myself in a position to play another match here."
10.15amIt's far too easy for Djokovic as he easily takes the first set in just 20 minutes against Harrison. Except for a poor first service game, the American did little wrong in the opening set, Djokovic just did everything better.

Williams 6-3 2-3* CornetBREAK! These two are blowing hot and cold at the moment. Just as Cornet looked like she may be crumbling, a series of double faults by Williams gives her a chance to break and she takes it. This set looks like it will be won by whichever player makes the fewest errors.
Williams 6-3 *2-2 CornetCornet is still frustrated by the previous game and is letting it get to her. Her lack of focus results in a number of mistakes but she manages to hold on.
9.10amSET! Lacko 3-6 4-6 Tipsarevic. Tipsarevic breaks late in the second set to go 2-0 up against the Slovak. Lacko was much stronger than in the first set, but still couldn't match the eighth seed.

The American had all sorts of problems with her serve, handing Cornet three break points following a double fault. However, a string a mistakes from the French player let Williams off. Cornet will be needing a new racquet, after smashing her previous one against the court.

8.58amIt may not have been the start that Venus was looking for, but she looked mighty towards the end of the first set, striking a stunning high volley while mid-air against the Cornet serve in the last game.
8.56amA disappointing end to the first set for Cornet, she ends her service game with a double fault, having struggled to get her first serve in throughout the game.

Williams 5-3* CornetWilliams is struggling to get her first serve in at the moment, but it doesn't seem to be hampering her too much, she raced to a 40-0 lead before allowing her opponent a point after missing a low forehand, then forcing a mistake from Cornet to take game.
Williams *4-3 CornetCornet uses a range of shots to stop Williams' run, slipping a volley past the 25th seed before trapping her with a serve to the body. Impressive stuff from the French player.
Williams 4-2* CornetWilliams gets lucky when she clips the top of the net, but then follows with a long forehand to hand Cornet a break point, but the American's powerful serve saves her. She's now won four games in a row after a shaky start.
