Austria claim table tennis bronze at Baku 2015 with victory over Germany

Austria have claimed bronze in men's team table tennis event after defeating Germany 3-0 at the European Games.

Germany's Timo Boll was forced to withdraw due to food poisoning, meaning Austria's Robert Gardos won the second match by walkover, after Daniel Habesohn defeated Patrick Baum in the first encounter.

In the doubles, Habesohn teamed up with Stefan Fegerl, and the pair beat Baum and Dimitrij Ovtcharov in the third match 3-1.

The final between France and Portugal will take place later this afternoon.
