Fran Halsall breaks 50m butterfly Games record

Fran Halsall has broken the Commonwealth Games record in the 50m butterfly during this morning's heats.

The English swimmer completed the distance in 25.64s, which also sets a new British record.

The 24-year-old will return for the semi-finals this evening, where she will also swim in the 50m freestyle final.

Halsall already has a silver from the 4x100m freestyle at these Games.
