Racing Metro scrum-half Mike Phillips plays down transfer speculation

Racing Metro scrum-half Mike Phillips has played down speculation that he is close to leaving the French club.

It was recently reported that the 32-year-old could be on his way back to his native Wales alongside international teammates Jamie Roberts and Dan Lydiate.

However, Phillips insists that he is happy at Racing and has no intention of moving elsewhere.

"Not sure why my name was mentioned today," he tweeted. "I'm very happy at Racing Metro and the coaches are very happy with me also."

Phillips joined the Top 14 side from Bayonne in December 2013.
