Wales and France both come through entertaining clashes with Scotland and Ireland in the Six Nations on Saturday.

France have seized control of the Six Nations with a thrilling 30-24 victory over Ireland on Saturday.

At one stage, France looked in full control having established a 19-7 lead at the break, but tries from Josh van der Flier and Jamison Gibson-Park moved Ireland to the brink of a shock win in Paris.

However, despite seeing their advantage reduced to three points, France held on, helped by Melvyn Jaminet converting his sixth penalty during the latter stages.

France remain at the top of the standings, but Wales managed to get themselves on the board earlier in the day with a 20-17 triumph over Scotland.

Gregor Townsend's team held a 11-6 lead during the early stages, helped by a Darcy Graham try, but Wales were back at 14-14 by half time thanks to a try from Tomas Francis.

While the second period was less entertaining, it was a captivating watch, and a Dan Biggar drop goal 11 minutes from time proved to be the difference, the skipper posting 15 points in total in Cardiff.
