James Hook has revealed that he could miss out on Wales's Six Nations training camp in Poland.

Warren Gatland's side will travel to ice chambers in Spala two weeks before their first game on February 5, but Hook could be on duty with Perpignan against Brive in the Top 14.

Fellow France-based Welsh players Mike Phillips and Lee Byrne have been given clearance to attend Wales's full training programme, but Hook says that he may not be allowed.

"Ultimately I'm out here and have a job to do," he said. "I love the club I'm with now and don't want to upset the applecart here.

"There is a release for the French clubs only one week before the Six Nations and Warren wants two weeks.

"So it is difficult but all I can do is to express my ambitions to play for Wales and if they want me I'm available."

Wales have a 'participation agreement' with its four regions which guarantees that players will be available for national team training two weeks before tournaments.
