Warren Gatland relieved by Wales victory over Scotland

Warren Gatland admits that he is 'satisfied and relieved' by Wales's nervy victory away to Scotland in the Six Nations.

Wales coach Warren Gatland has admitted that he is 'satisfied and relieved' by his side's narrow win over Scotland in the Six Nations.

The Welsh picked up their first victory of this year's tournament on Sunday with a 26-23 triumph at Murrayfield.

Despite being put under plenty of pressure from the home team, Gatland is happy that his players were able to hold out for the win.

"There's satisfaction and relief after the criticism of last week," he told BBC Sport. "I think we deserved the result and the victory, but it's difficult to get a result away from home in this championship.

"When we kept the ball we were good, our dominance in the air was good. It was a good Test match, we went out there to play rugby and Scotland did as well. We're relieved to get back on the bike and get a result."

Wales return to action on February 28 when they face France in Paris.
