Warren Gatland pleased with Sam Warburton return

Wales coach Warren Gatland describes Sam Warburton's return for Saturday's Six Nations encounter against Ireland as "great".

Wales coach Warren Gatland has hailed Sam Warburton's return for Saturday's Six Nations clash with Ireland.

The captain has been selected in the starting XV for the match in Dublin after recovering from a shoulder injury.

Meanwhile, Gethin Jenkins and Andrew Coombs also come into the teamm to face the Irish.

"It's great to bring Sam and Gethin back into the side and it's a good opportunity for Andrew Coombs to start as well," Gatland told the Welsh Rugby Union's official website.

"We feel in most tournaments we get stronger as it goes on and that will need to be the case this weekend."

Defending champions Wales won their opening match of the tournament last weekend with a 23-15 victory over Italy in Cardiff.
