Davies banned for Six Nations

Wales forward Bradley Davies has received a seven-week suspension for a tip tackle on Ireland's Donnacha Ryan at the weekend.

The incident, which was adjudicated on today by an independent championship disciplinary committee in London, only warranted a yellow card from referee Wayne Barnes at the time.

However, upon review it has been decided that the 25-year-old will miss almost eight weeks.

The ban has ruled out Davies for the remainder of Wales's Six Nations campaign.
