Taulupe Faletau: "We have to focus on ourselves"

Wales number eight Taulupe Faletau insists that his side will be fully prepared to get a result against Australia, should their World Cup campaign go down to the wire.

Taulupe Faletau has urged his Wales teammates to remain focused as they close in on a place in the final eight of the Rugby World Cup.

Having racked up a third win on the bounce in Pool A, the Red Dragons' path to the knockout stages is now looking a little clearer.

Victory for Australia against England at the weekend will see Warren Gatland's men through, but Faletau acknowledges that his side may still have to register a positive result against the Wallabies themselves.

"We have to focus on ourselves and make sure we win our games," he told reporters. "Australia are next and they have often been fortunate enough to get the result on the day - the many days - when we have come together in the past.

"We remained calm and collected when the pressure was on today. The game was maybe a bit loose; Fiji were able to make inroads down the channels, but we got the job done."

Gareth Davies and Scott Baldwin scored first-half tries for Wales, but the hosts were unable to register a bonus point in a tight and cagey second 40 at the Millennium Stadium.
