France's Imanol Harinordoquy claims that Wales are the "All Blacks of the North" ahead of Saturday's World Cup semi-final.

Imanol Harinordoquy has compared Wales to New Zealand ahead of France's World Cup semi-final clash with the Welsh side.

The French number eight has been impressed with what he has seen of Wales so far and has suggested that they are the All Blacks of the Northern Hemisphere.

"We often say they're the All Blacks of the North," said the Biarritz veteran.

"They're a very good team and above all one which is oozing confidence.

"They seem to be very calm among themselves, even if they're hassled in the games, they don't let it go."

Wales overcame Ireland 22-10 in their quarter-final match last weekend, while France defeated England 19-12 in their last eight fixture.

France and Wales will renew Six Nations hostilities when they meet at Eden Park on Saturday morning for a place in the World Cup final on Saturday, October 22.
