Wales coach Warren Gatlnd reveals that his team are full of confidence after defeating Argentina on the weekend.

Wales coach Warren Gatland has revealed that his team are full of confidence ahead of the World Cup in New Zealand next month.

Wales completed their World Cup warm-up series with a 28-13 win over Argentina in Cardiff on Saturday (August 20).

“We're pleased with the result, we made a couple of changes and it was tough for the guys coming in," Gatland said.

“We got the win relatively comfortably and can take a lot from our three performances over the past weeks.

“We're in good shape physically and have won five of our last seven games. We can take a lot of confidence on that plane."

Argentina put up a stubborn display against Wales in the first half, competing at every breakdown and testing the Welsh defence.

The visitors then conceded tries from Andy Powell, Alun Wyn Jones and George North before getting a consolation try late in the second half.

“It's another good win in another good test match," centre Jamie Roberts commented after the game.

“It's really pleasing to end the warm-up games with a win and we are scoring good tries which is what rugby is all about.”

Gatland will name his 30-man World Cup squad later today (Monday).
