Jonathan Davies: 'Wales can't fear injuries'

Jonathan Davies has insisted that Wales should be "all in" for their opening game of the Rugby World Cup, despite picking up injuries in their final warm-up match.

Warren Gatland's side will be without full-back Leigh Halfpenny and scrum-half Rhys Webb for the tournament after they were injured in the win over Italy earlier this month.

Ahead of Wales's match against Uruguay at the Millennium Stadium on Sunday, the former captain told BBC Sport: "We should be all in for this game. We should hit the ground running.

"We smash them, make a statement, put the pressure on everyone else to score points and then we've got England coming up afterwards. If you get injured, you get injured. Unfortunately that's part of rugby."

Wales will also face England, Australia and Fiji in Pool A.
