Best cleared to face Wales

Ireland hooker Rory Best has been cleared to face Wales in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals after an injury assessment yesterday.

Best was forced off during Ireland's 36-6 victory over Italy with shoulder sprain and was provisionally named in the starting XV to face Wales pending the assessment.

With Best cleared to start, replacement hooker Sean Cronin will sit on the bench.
